Dayvigo 5mg Tablet contains Lemborexant as the active constituent. It is used in the treatment of insomnia in adult patients. Insomnia has been characterized as a sleep disorder that makes it hard for a person to fall asleep. Insomnia is developed as a consequence of poor lifestyle, improper sleep schedule, and psychological distress such as stress, anxiety, and depression. It is recommended to consume this medicine only once per night, right before going to bed. It is best to plan the sleep schedule and follow a minimum of 7-8 of sleep while taking this medicine to prevent the risk of daytime sleepiness.

 

It is intended for oral use only. This medicine is not advised for people suffering from a chronic sleep disorder. Do not discontinue this medicine without seeking proper advice from your doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol while using Dayvigo 5 mg Tablet. It is better to avoid driving immediately the next morning as this medicine can reduce your driving potential. Inform your physician if you have had a history of depression or addiction to alcohol or habit-forming substances. It is recommended to maintain a proper interval between your meal and intake of this medicine as it can cause a delay in its onset of action.

How Dayvigo 5mg Tablet works:

Dayvigo 5mg Tablet works by inhibiting the orexin signals in the brain. Orexin is a chemical produced by the hypothalamus of the brain that promotes wakefulness and is also responsible for the sleep-wake cycle. Therefore, Dayvigo 5mg Tablet produces its action by acting as a competitive blocker by preventing the binding of orexin-A and B proteins to the OX1 AND OX2 receptors. Thereby this medicine helps to suppress the wakefulness.
